BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Board members serve 3-year terms beginning in February, at the time of the OIPC Annual Meeting.  Board members are recruited in the fall by the OIPC Nominating Committee.  A slate of candidates for the election at the Annual Meeting is approved by the Board in advance.  At the Annual Meeting, an election is held and new Board members are elected, or re-elected if running for a second term.  There are 6 categories on the Board with 2 people in each category at this time - Federal/state government, local government (Metro Parks), academic & educational institutions, non-profit conservation organizations, interested public, and the nursery industry, chosen from different regions of the state.  Board members are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings, the Annual Meeting, and other events as needed.
